Sessions
Coached club sessions for beginners, improvers and canoe polo players.
Coached club sessions
Everybody is welcome to attend the club sessions, we can provide all the kit you will need to take part. You will need to bring clothes you do not mind getting wet in like; t-shirt, shorts, swimming trunks or a sports top. As a new member, you get 3 introductory sessions, after which you need to join the club, to be covered by British Canoeing Insurance.
Summer sessions at Killington Sailing Association
From May Bank Holiday to the end of August, we run sessions on a Monday evenings from 6:30 pm at Killington Sailing Association
We'll organise the session depending who turns up. Get down earlier if you can and set up the goals (now got wheels on them so you can set up single handed) & pitch (or at least put the buoys out ready) & rubber launch mats.
All the equipment is down at the Killington Sailing Association. There are some canoe cags to borrow. Bring warmer clothes than you would at the pool. A wetsuit is a good idea if you think you will capsize. There are changing rooms and showers.
If you want to go down on other nights/days than Monday and Thursday evenings, you will have to join the Killington Sailing Association.
Facilities: There are changing rooms and toilets available with showers (they take 20p to run). The clubhouse is open for changing and shower facilities on a Monday evenings. The pitch and playing area is right outside the clubhouse, so it provides good spectator sport. We have preplaced anchors for the pitch to fasten to. The goals fasten to the side of the pitch. There is parking available on site.
